Christoph Kocher

Christoph Kocher joined Gimv in 2019 and brings more than seven years of international venture capital experience, with a particular focus on Europe and the United States. Prior to joining Gimv full-time, Christoph worked in consulting and at ONWARD Medical, a venture-backed medtech company in which Gimv was a founding investor. Since then, he has built a strong track record in life sciences investing and has supported numerous portfolio companies in both Board Observer and Board Director capacities.

He currently serves on the boards of Exciva (Germany), Mediar Therapeutics (US), Kinaset Therapeutics (US), ImmunOs Therapeutics (Switzerland), and Topas Therapeutics (Germany).

Christoph holds an M.Sc. with Honors in Neuroengineering from the Technical University of Munich. He also conducted neuroscience research at ETH Zurich and the University of Oxford, with a particular focus on Parkinson’s disease.
